| The Governor General's Gold Medal in the Humanities is awarded to the most outstanding doctoral degree recipient in the Humanities. Timothy Paul Foran is receiving the medal this year for his thesis supervised by Dr. Nicole St-Onge. Dr. Foran was awarded his Doctorate in History at the Spring 2011 Convocation. |

| The Pierre Laberge Prize in the Humanities is awarded in recognition of an excellent doctoral thesis in the Humanities. This year's winner is Sébastien Normand for his thesis supervised by Dr. Barry Schneider. Dr. Normand is being awarded his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. |

| The Pierre Laberge Prize in the Sciences is awarded in recognition of an excellent doctoral thesis in the Sciences. This year's winner is Khalid Albahily for his thesis co-supervised by Dr. Sandro Gambarotta and Dr. David Courtman. Dr. Albahily is being awarded his Doctorate in Chemistry. |

| The Joseph De Koninck Prize at the doctoral level is awarded in recognition of a major contribution to knowledge in an interdisciplinary studies program. The prize goes this year to Monique Potvin Kent for her thesis supervised by Dr. Lise Dubois. She received her Doctorate in Population Health at the Spring 2011 Convocation. |
