GOVERNOR GENERAL'S GOLD MEDAL IN THE HUMANITIES - DOCTORATE
The Governor General's Gold Medal in the Humanities is awarded to the most outstanding doctoral degree recipient in the Humanities. Timothy Paul Foran is receiving the medal this year for his thesis supervised by Dr. Nicole St-Onge. Dr. Foran was awarded his Doctorate in History at the Spring 2011 Convocation.

GOVERNOR GENERAL'S GOLD MEDAL IN THE SCIENCES - DOCTORATE
The Governor General's Gold Medal in the Sciences is awarded to the most outstanding doctoral degree recipient in the Sciences. Israel De Leon Arizpe is receiving the medal this year for his thesis supervised by Dr. Pierre Berini. Dr. De Leon Arizpe was awarded his Doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Spring 2011 Convocation.

PIERRE LABERGE PRIZE IN THE HUMANITIES - DOCTORATE
The Pierre Laberge Prize in the Humanities is awarded in recognition of an excellent doctoral thesis in the Humanities. This year's winner is Sébastien Normand for his thesis supervised by Dr. Barry Schneider. Dr. Normand is being awarded his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

PIERRE LABERGE PRIZE IN THE SCIENCES - DOCTORATE
The Pierre Laberge Prize in the Sciences is awarded in recognition of an excellent doctoral thesis in the Sciences. This year's winner is Khalid Albahily for his thesis co-supervised by Dr. Sandro Gambarotta and Dr. David Courtman. Dr. Albahily is being awarded his Doctorate in Chemistry.

JOSEPH DE KONINCK PRIZE - DOCTORATE
The Joseph De Koninck Prize at the doctoral level is awarded in recognition of a major contribution to knowledge in an interdisciplinary studies program. The prize goes this year to Monique Potvin Kent for her thesis supervised by Dr. Lise Dubois. She received her Doctorate in Population Health at the Spring 2011 Convocation.

COMMISSION ON GRADUATE STUDIES IN HUMANITIES PRIZE - MASTER'S
The Commission on Graduate Studies in the Humanities Prize recognizes an excellent master's thesis in the Humanities. The prize goes this year to Joanne Desroches for her thesis directed by Dr. Ryan Fraser. She is being awarded her Master of Arts in Translation.

COMMISSION ON GRADUATE STUDIES IN SCIENCES PRIZE
The Commission on Graduate Studies in Sciences Prize recognizes an excellent master's thesis in the Sciences. The prize goes this year to Eric Jacques for his thesis directed by Dr. Murat Saatcioglu. Mr. Jacques was awarded his Master in Applied Science in Civil Engineering at the Spring 2011 Convocation.

PRIX RENÉ LUPIEN - MASTER'S
The René Lupien Prize is awarded annually for an outstanding master's thesis on a topic relevant to Francophones in Canada. This year's prize goes to Marie-Hélène Eddie for her thesis supervised by Dr. Marc-François Bernier. She was awarded the Master of Arts in Communication at the Spring 2011 Convocation.

JOSEPH DE KONINCK PRIZE - MASTER'S
The Joseph De Koninck Prize at the master's level is awarded in recognition of a major contribution to knowledge in an interdisciplinary studies program. The prize goes this year to Tuulia Law for her thesis supervised by Dr. Christine Bruckert. She is receiving a Master of Arts in Women's Studies.
